Atlantic Immigration Pilot program

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIPP) was introduced in 2017 by Canadian government to invite immigrants to the 4 provinces in the Atlantic Canada region – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island. Due to the success seen in this fast-track immigration program in the last 3 years, it has further been extended til 2023.

The main criteria to satisfy under the AIPP program is a valid job offer from a designated employer, who will support with the candidate’s settlement in the province

The AIPP has 3 main categories, two for skilled workers and one for international graduates:

    • Full-time, minimum 1-year job offer from a designated employer in a skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, B)
    • Minimum 1 year work experience related to job offer
    • Minimum high school level (Canadian credential or ECA required)
    • CLB 4 in English or French
    • Letter of endorsement from province
    • Full-time, indeterminate job offer from a designated employer in a trades occupation (NOC C)
    • Minimum 1 year work experience related to job offer
    • Minimum high school level (Canadian credential or ECA required)
    • CLB 4 in English or French
    • Letter of endorsement from province
    • Full-time, indeterminate job offer from a designated employer in a skilled or trades occupation (NOC 0, A, B, C)
    • No work experience needed
    • Minimum 2-year post-secondary diploma from a publicly funded institution in the Atlantic region, obtained within 12 months of application.
    • CLB 4 in English or French
    • Letter of endorsement from province
